Greetings!
We only have a few more weeks before the devil's anvil drops on
to the Valley of the Sun. That means that you better get your tuckus
down to the brewery and enjoy a hand crafted beer and some Chicken
Rolls on our beautiful patio before it's too late.
Come see us on Sunday, May 11th for our Mother's Day Brunch! We
have an amazing spread this year, including Prime Rib and Peel &
Eat Shrimp, and have added a hand flipped Omelette Station and
Dessert Stations, all for $28. We also have great drink specials on
champagne and mimosas, and Happy Hour Four Peaks Beers All Day Long!
Cheers, and if we don't see you, Happy Mother's Day to all you moms
out there and thanks for supporting your local brewery!

It took little more than 48 hours. That's right a scant 2
days for the multi-award winning Hopsquatch barley wine to
come and go this May. Being your man on the front line, it was
my honor to pour the first draft of the 2008 World Beer Cup
Silver medal winner around 2 pm on Thursday afternoon. My
sources informed me that the last glass was poured sometime
early Saturday evening. What does this mean to you, my fellow
beer enthusiast? It means that in a keg that holds 15.5
gallons (1984 oz., strangely Orwellian don't you think?) per 1
serving size, which is between 10 and 12 oz. per pour (we'll
say 12 oz. to allow for the amount of samples given out) in
the time frame of 2 pm Thursday to, say, 6 pm Saturday (34
hours) equals a little more than 5 glasses/ business hour.
This may not seem to be a lot, but who really drinks a barley
wine with their gyro at lunchtime? Now take into account that
this months' allotment, barring a few exceptions, was off
limits to those affiliated with the brewery. It seems there
were quite a few of you discussing the impact that Escape
(The Pina Colada Song), by Rupert Holmes, had on your
life's journey, and how Adam Sandler was robbed by the Academy
for not getting an Oscar nod for his work on Click. You
know who you are.
Is there a lesson to be learned? Yes, if you missed out on
the Hopsquatch this month, fear not, it will return Sunday
June 1st! But come in early, this World Beer Cup Silver Medal
Winner will go fast! |

| American Craft Beer Week |
|
|
American Craft Beer Week (May 12-18), which is celebrated
annually, highlights the industry and culture of craft beer.
Changed to a weeklong event in 2006, the inaugural American
Craft Beer Week was recognized by the U.S. Congress with House
Resolution 753. The week has continued to grow with interest
and support from beer enthusiasts and the media.
Also new, SAVOR: An American Craft Beer and Food Experience
(May 16-17), will be held to commemorate American Craft Beer
Week in Washington DC. The event will showcase craft beer and
food pairings with participation from 48 independent craft
brewers, including Four Peaks! Andy and Jim will be in DC
showcasing the beers of Four Peaks and representing Arizona
(and to take a dip in the Reflecting Pool). |

Perhaps you have seen our 4 shiny new 1,200 gallon fermenters
that we just installed this week. We are now brewing at a capacity
of 20,000 barrels or 40,000 kegs or 276,000 cases. These new tanks
should allow us to sell a limited amount of kegs again at the bar so
give us a couple of weeks and we should be ready to go!
Na zdorovia!! To all our Russian friends! The Crew at
